Tredeanne lies on the coast of the Roseland Peninsula overlooking idyllic Carne Beach, only 15 miles from Truro and a similar distance from the Eden Project.
It provides a fabulous holiday environment, located in the hamlet of Carne among beautiful countryside with stunning views, and, a small distance from Carne Beach which can provide endless hours of enjoyment for both old and young alike. Carne beach is a very good sandy beach, which at low tide is ideal for family beach games, swimming and other water activities. It has many fascinating rock pools to explore.
The views from the property are absolutely stunning across Gerrans Bay towards Porthscatho and the Lizard beyond.
There are many pleasant walks to be had locally and the South West Coastal Path is virtually on your doorstep.
Tredeanne sleeps 4/5 and is the ideal base for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer, or just enjoying a relaxing break.
The Property is approached down a track and there is parking for 2/3 cars. A path leads down to the garden and house.
The front door opens directly onto an open plan living space consisting of sitting, dining and kitchen areas. The sitting area has a large sofa and two other chairs, a coffee table, TV and DVD. It is a bright and airy space with a fantastic view of the bay, beach and the surrounding coastal area. Patio doors open onto a terrace.
The kitchen is equipped with a single drainer sink, an electric cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as necessary crockery utensils etc.
The dining table separates the kitchen from the sitting area.
The two bedrooms open off this room, one with a double bed and the other with two singles which can be zipped together giving the opportunity of another large double bed if required. This room also has a cupboard which houses the electric meter, hot water tank with emersion heater, water pump and switch, and has a hanging rail. There is also a “Z” bed.
The bathroom contains a shower cubicle, basin and toilet.
Heating is by a stand alone electric fire plus wall heaters in all rooms. All electricity is included in the price.
Local Services: Carne Beach has a public car park and public toilets (Tredeanne is only a short distance from the Beach). The beautiful Nare Hotel which overlooks Carne Beach has two restaurants which are both open to non-residents. The village of Veryan with its characteristic round houses, offers a village pub and shop/post office and is approximately a mile away by car, or a pleasant walk across fields following the footpath.

About The Area:
Carne Beach is one of the loveliest and safest sandy beaches on the Roseland Peninsula of Cornwall. The one mile stretch of golden, good quality sand incorporates the adjacent Pendower Beach and is ideal for families. There is an abundance of rock pools to explore and fascinating cliffs. The beach gives you the opportunity for a gentle stroll if the weather is hot, or an exhilarating walk if you are feeling more energetic. Pendower Beach also has rock pools with a softer background to its beach. Some parts of this area have been designated Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI's) with interesting fauna and flora. Water activities include swimming, diving, surfing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing.
From Tredeanne, the South West Coastal Footpath is virtually on your doorstep. Carne Beach to Portloe is a spectacular daytime walk of less than four miles and at Portloe (a fishing village, considered to be one of the prettiest in Cornwall) you will find a small shingle beach, a pub and a restaurant. Portloe has been used as a film setting for many films and has even doubled for the Mediterranean. This walk has many "ups and downs", so some effort is required, but the scenery is well worth that effort and you can pause en-route for a rest, birdwatching or a picnic on the virtually flat National Trust's "Nare Head".
The village of Veryan is about a mile away from Tredeanne by road. The village is famous for its five thatched circular cottages (round houses) - the original intention being that these would protect the village because there were no corners for the devil to hide. The cottages stand two at each end of the village and one in the middle. The village offers sporting facilities (bowls, cricket, tennis) and there is a lovely indoor bowling green. A children's playground in the village is a wonderful way to occupy the youngsters. There is a post office/general store, plus you will also find, in the area, charity shops, art and craft galleries, a garden nursery specialising in unusual perennials, and you can buy local produce at the WI Country Market held in the Parish Hall on Friday Mornings (excluding January). If you are in Cornwall in mid-July, Veryan's Gala Week is well worth a visit.
Walk more of the South West Coast Path, explore the local footpaths, cycle along the Camel Trail from Padstow and observe the varied bird population, fish from the beach or go out in a boat from Mevagissey. Cornish gardens are wonderful and are some of the best in the world. They are at their best in spring. Almost all are within easy driving distance and include Caerhays, Trebah, Lanhydrock, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trelissick, Trewithen, Pencarrow and of course The Eden Project.
The list of things to do in Cornwall is endless, and all locations are within driving distance of Tredeanne.
Visit the National Maritime Museum and catch the ferry from St Mawes and spend the day in Falmouth. Also the Goonhilly Earth Station and nearby the seal sanctuary, Tintagel, the Tate Gallery at St Ives, Geevor Tin Mine, Lizard point, Charlestown, Poldark Mine and Polperro to name just a few.
For children there numerous attractions such as Dairyland, Flambards theme park and Paradise World.
For the more adventurous the Isles of Scilly can be wonderful addition to your holiday and can be reached by air or sea.
